What is Portal
Portal is a Build. One application that handles all the use cases related with the development of solutions using the Build. One technology. With Portal developers can do the following process
- Open Workspaces to develop new Applications
- Create Releases
- Deploy Releases
- Administrate the deployments
2 Steps by step guide
- Login in the following services
Log in with Atlassian account (Using the user provided by mail)
- gitpod.io (Using Bitbucket)
- Open the Build. One Portal in your Chrome Browser and login using the credentials provided by mail
We need this to log in in the different tools that are used with Build. One and this is only needed the first time
Usually you would initially register, but for training purposes we have already created a Tenant and a User for you, including the relevant integrations.
- In the sidebar select the "Projects" item if it is not already selected.
- Select your branch (TrainingUser<YourUserNumber>-hands-on) in the panel at the bottom and click on the button “Launch Pro-Code Workspace”
- See your workspace opening
For the training we are using Bitbucket as the Git-Provider. Therefore, in the upper left Panel you see all the Bitbucket-Workspaces you have access.
In the upper right you see your GIT-Repositories. Every Repository represents 1 Project.
In the lower part you see all the Branches of the selected Repository.
A Build. One Pro-Code Workspace is like a full-blown development machine in the cloud, it contains a Linux OS, Progress, Databases, Development-IDE and everything else you would have on your local PC to develop. In addition, it also contains the whole Build. One functionality, including the No-Code/Low-Code Tooling. To access these tools, you need to login:
Make sure you accept the “Popup window” in your browser to open the new browser tab with your workspace
