1. Description
A text module contains information in the form of text, images, tables etc. which can be maintained centrally in the AKIOMA.OFFER! application. That means that those information must be created and updated only once and all user can use them everywhere its needed.
Text modules can be accessed in the Text Module Desktop from the main sidebar. This desktop displays all the existing text modules, having the possibility to filter them by Key, Description, Type or Group. There is also the possibility to create a new Text Module by using the floating button.
The module type can be either Text or Word-File and the default type is Text. The default type is used for all the text modules without type (records 4 and 5 in the image below).
Selecting a Text Module (click on link) will open a new window containing the details for the corresponding record. Selecting the first record from above image will open the following Window.
From this screen the Text Module fields can be updated and saved. All the fields are updatable.
As mentioned before, the Text Modules type can be either Text or Word-File.
2. Using text modules
Text Modules items can be added in the Offer and Product Lines (the structure called treeGrid). The Text Module option needs to be selected in the Offer/Product ribbon combobox, then the item can be created by using the ‘New item’ button from the ribbon. This option will create a Text Module entry in the treeGrid and will open a Text Module frame in the right panel, where the user needs to select one of the existing Text Modules.
3. Text Module Types
There are two types of Text Modules: Text and Word-File.
- For items in TreeGrid having the module type Text, the corresponding Text will be displayed in the bottom Richtext editor.
- For items in TreeGrid having the module type Word, the Word-File document will be displayed in the bottom DocViewer control.
After selecting a Text Module and saving the screen, the Text/Word document is displayed accordingly based on the module type.
3.1 Word
A text module of the type "Word" contains a word-file with the information. When using such a text module in an offer it can be inserted into a document when printing the offer (based on the template).
For changing the Text Module type, select a different value from the Module Type field. After changing the type from Text to Word-File two additional fields will be displayed: Browse button, for selecting a Word-File to link to the Text Module and Name field, which will display the name of the selected Word-File.
After clicking the Browse button, the File Selection dialog will open, containing the already uploaded files. If there are no files displayed, the user can upload a Word File from his local machine, which will be visible in the Tile View panel. Afterwards, the user will need to select a Word-File from the displayed ones then press the OK button from the Toolbar.
After the File selection, the Dialog will close automatically and the name of the selected Word-File will be displayed in the Name field, next to the Browse button. The user can still edit the other fields of the Text Module if necessary then press the Save button from the Toolbar for saving the Text Module.
4. Text Module Relations
Text module relations help the user to identify related text modules in an effective way.
When opening a Text Module, inside the Relations page all the relations to the currently opened Text Module will be displayed in the DataView control.
Using the toolbar you can create a new Relation, delete the currently selected Relation or reload the list of relations.
Also each Card has two corresponding buttons for deleting the Relation or for opening the corresponding Text Module.
After successfully creating a new Relation, the list of Relations will be reloaded/updated because of the RefreshScheme defined.
