All modern UI Libraries and Frameworks and Design systems basically follow this fundamental approach. We believe combined with the thinking of a Pattern Language enables customers to create experiences that are consistent and easy to use and also easy to maintain.
The model driven approach of Build. One especially lends itself to incorporating the approach of using patterns that are built up by components, elements, widgets to ultimately very quickly get great user experience created. We know we are at the start of the journey, but believe we can change the way software is developed to always consider principles of good design right from the start by enabling a paved path to great design.
The opportunity for Build. One is to learn about elements, patterns and more from customer applications and where we have the opportunity to improve experience across our framework user. We acknowledge where these aspirations are not visible in the current experience and strive to move there with our new Design Team, which got fully staffed in December 2022.
From theory to practice we like Jakob Nielsen and Don Norman and their design group/studio.
